Maruti has been recording new milestones as the Suzuki Baleno crosses over 8 Lakh sales in a term of 5 years. This premium hatchback was launched on 26 October 2015 and the announcement on the new milestone comes exactly on 26 October 2020.
Going back, Maruti Baleno achieved its first 1 lakh unit sales in 2016. The 5 lakh sales were marked in 2018. Now, a new record is being noted by Maruti Baleno in the Indian market, placing it to be the first model to achieve the 8 Lakh mark in such a short time.

The figures can be broken down as Baleno has managed to sell an average of 1.6 lakh units every year. Further exploring, it can be said as sales with 1 unit for every 3 minutes, 20 units for every hour, 444 units each day, and 13,333 units every month.
However, Maruti Baleno keeps its sales at the best point after 5 years of launch. At a point, the discontinuation of diesel Baleno did happen and still continues. After the introduction to BS6 to Baleno, petrol engines are the only option available.
Features of Baleno
